Agricultural and Basic Services Delivery Apart from land acquisition productivity would also largely depend on the availability of agricultural support services. Consequently, it shall be an objective to ensure the delivery of these services to the MRSP. These shall include, among others: installation, maintenance and repair of irrigation systems; accessible and affordable credit; post-harvest and marketing facilities; farm to market roads, transportation and communication facilities; research, extension services, technology development and dissemination; and market information (domestic and international). To improve the living condition of the MRSP, there is an urgent need for the delivery of basic community services such as public health, housing and education services. It has a direct impact on the development of social production. It also provides better condition for an all-sided physical and intellectual capabilities of the rural communities. To hasten the delivery of vital agricultural and community basic support services, the MRS should engage in; claim-taking and policy reform struggles, and actual community support services programs and projects development |
